At Kind Law Group, we believe knowledge empowers clients.
Here are a few key insights we share with every client:
Always document incidents immediately—photos and witness details can make or break a claim.
Never sign insurance or settlement documents without legal review.
In injury cases, medical documentation is crucial from day one.
Deadlines (statutes of limitation) differ by case type—don’t wait to consult a lawyer.
Business agreements should clearly outline dispute-resolution methods before issues arise.
Construction defects often have hidden causes—expert inspections are essential.
Real estate contracts should be reviewed before, not after, closing.
Early legal intervention usually reduces costs and stress later on.
Honest, transparent communication between client and attorney builds stronger outcomes.
Every legal problem has a human story—and that’s where we begin.
As a business owner, having an attorney you trust is invaluable. He has always taken the time to guide me through important decisions and make sure I understand every step.
I have known this attorney for many years, long before he started his own firm. I watched him put in the work studying for the bar, gaining experience at different law offices, and building the knowledge and discipline that shaped him into the attorney he is today.
Now that he has his own practice, I can confidently say that he brings that same ethic, integrity and dedication to every client he helps.
As the owner of a construction company, I deal with business decisions, contracts and LLC questions regularly. Anytime I have needed legal guidance, he has always taken the time to explain things clearly and make sure I fully understand the situation before moving forward.
What sets him apart is that he genuinely cares about the people he represents. He does not treat you like another case number. He takes the time to help you make the right decisions and protect your interests the right way.
Outside of work, I stay busy with my family, riding motorcycles, cycling, and building projects through my construction company. It gives me peace of mind knowing that whenever legal questions come up, I have someone I trust that I can call.
Watching him grow into the attorney he is today has been incredible and I strongly recommend him to anyone looking for honest, knowledgeable legal representation.

A restaurant worker, I took a single trip away from Houston in 2025. To Florida to visit mom, sister and best friend. Three different cities (Tampa, St Pete, Miami), so car rental was a must. I paid an extra nine bucks a day to upgrade to a sky-blue Volvo SUV. Stunning. Flew in, picked up keys at Budget/Avis TPA. Out the doors, down the stairs, find Budget cars, find row K, beep for my car, aha! Of course, it had a big nasty dent/scratch on driver door (at least 12”x12”). Though disappointed about damage, I was behind schedule and happy to have any car. I did not want to navigate back inside and wait at counter again to replace vehicle. I presumed they were aware of damage due to it being ON THE DRIVER DOOR. I took off for my first stop, Mom’s place.
Trip went great, I saw everyone. Three weeks after return I received, by mail, an assessment for damages totaling well over $1000. I had taken no photos nor reported the damage. It would be ‘he said/ she said’. I had no legs to stand on… but an Ace up my sleeve. I reached out to Mr Obanion. John got right on top of things, requesting footage of me driving out of the airport (many cameras) as well as a deposition from employees working the day I picked up car. It took a few months (of them) going back and forth. Importantly, I did not have to be in a state of concern during this time. I knew I was in good hands. Then that sweet letter came in the mail, mistakes were made, no financial charges to me from Budget. Icing on the cake would’ve been an apology, but in today’s world, the resolution was quite enough for me to be satisfied. Mr Obanion looks out for the little guys navigating these aggressive corporate entities. A humble thank you for that Sir.
